Deze producenten hebben een dusdanig sterke reputatie dat zij de Gambero Rosso publicitair gezien eigenlijk niet meer nodig hebben.
De Gambero Rosso is niet alleen een perfecte gids naar de meest interessante wijnen van Italie, maar het is ook een fantastisch naslagwerk, waarin alle producenten met hun gegevens staan vermeld. Dus ga je een keer naar Italie en wil je her en der wat wijnproducenten bezoeken, dan is dit boek eveneens onmisbaar.
De Gambero Rosso verschijnt elk jaar begin december. De eerste versie is alleen in het Italiaans verkrijgbaar. Doorgaans volgt 6 maanden later, medio mei, de engelstalige versie.
