A lovely red wine, is this red wine made of 100% Sangiovese grapes coming from several vineyards made by Uccelliera from the wine region Tuscany in Italy

The Rosso di Montalcino is made in the appellation of Rosso di Montalcino DOC and was made of 100% Sangiovese harvested in the year 2007, which was a 5 star vintage in this area The 2007 vintage has presented a crop of exceptional level. In Italy of advance and precocious vintages, in countertendency Montalcino’s march table has followed and it has arrived punctually at the vintage: only at the beginning of September we have begun to pick up the first bunches. The vintage 2007 has given great satisfactions, especially on the quality plan. The grapes were healthy, the berries were very concentrated, with elevated sugary gradations; nevertheless having had a very dry and hot winter the rain shower the end of May and beginning of June have restored the natural vegetative balance of the vines. It is the microclimate to make the difference, our territory has a natural gift that makes our wine unique. The grapes has been harvested from 20th to 25th September
The average annual production for the Rosso di Montalcino is around 22.000 bottles.

The average age of the vines used to make the Brunello di Montalcino is 7-19 years.

The Rosso di Montalcino is the regular vintage bottling and was aged in wooden barrels for 9 months. The wooden barrels that were used for the aging of the wine are 50% 225 liter barrels of 2nd passage French oak and 50% 43Hl barrels of old Slavinian oak.

The Rosso di Montalcino will show best when served at 16-18 °C and should drink well until 2018. The wine pairs very well with hors d'oeuvres, first courses, vegetables, fine poultry and red meat.

The wine has an alcohol level of 14,5%
